📌 Ochil Hills, Stirling
★★★
Dumyat is the westernmost main summit in the Ochil Hills, its peak decorated with an array of objects including a trig point, jubilee beacon and a memorial to the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. It is the most popular destination in the hill range by some margin, with a high-level start point at Pendreich (or a second car park immediately to the north) greatly easing the “tourist route” from the west. If you do choose to approach from this direction, we recommend a couple of detours on the way back, taking in the rocky prominence of Castle Law as well as a ruined settlement. Otherwise, check out our more strenuous route from Blairlogie for greater scenic drama and fewer crowds.
