πŸ“Œ Luss Hills, Argyll & Bute
β˜…β˜…β˜…

An unrelenting ascent and extortionate parking fees – the first half of this trip certainly has a steep theme. We’re not so keen on the four (albeit beautiful) miles of tarmac either, and the walk through Glen Mollochan is pretty squelchy even when it hasn’t rained for a while. Apart from all that, this circuit taking in the highest of the Luss Hills and one of its neighbours has some seriously lovely views of Loch Lomond and the Arrochar Alps, and the grassy ridge between the two summits makes an enjoyable traverse. Finally – these hills are strikingly crowd-free in contrast to many others this close to Glasgow.
