π Abernethy, Perth & Kinross

Climbing up to the top of Castle Law from Abernethy takes a little more effort then ascending the Round Tower in the village centre, but this route via Abernethy Glen also passes through some woodland which is attractive in its own right. From the hill fort at the summit, the Ochil Hills look particularly beguiling and there are wonderful views all the way down the tidal Firth of Tay towards Dundee. At the start, Abernethy village is well worth exploring and has both worthwhile visitor attractions and places to eat – see our separate page.
