📌 Atholl, Perth & Kinross
★★★
This narrow sliver of a Corbett lies sandwiched between the two Munros of Beinn Dearg and Càrn a’ Chlamain, separated from them by two steep-sided burns running into Glen Tilt. The initial approach from Blair Atholl takes in four miles of this lovely valley (and another four on return), taking in attractive woodland, open sections and a couple of ruined townships. The main ascent to the summit (which according to O.S. maps is one of the more northerly of the high areas – the top is very flat) is fairly straightforward, climbing the hill’s spine from New Bridge. This (old) crossing point and its surroundings are perhaps the highlight of the route, enfolded in an intimate valley.
