📌 Bettyhill, Highland
★★★

Àrd Mòr (big height / peninsula) is a rugged headland north of Bettyhill – it faces its Àrd Beag counterpart across Farr Bay. Following faint paths along the clifftops makes for an enjoyable walk in all weathers, no matter whether the ocean below is in a tranquil or turbulent mood. The circuit later passes an old fishing station which used to feature a net spanning the sizeable River Naver; now ruined, the buildings now provide an interesting foreground to the vast Torrisdale Bay across the river.
