📌 Braes, Isle of Skye
★★★
The An Àird peninsula stretches halfway from Skye across the two-mile channel of water to the Isle of Raasay, and makes the perfect destination for a couple of hours’ relaxed exploring. Two beaches (one of sandy, one stony) either side of a tombolo are the appetiser, before a natural arch and some attractive cliffs form a satisfying main course. All topped off with views of Raasay and Ben Tianavaig for dessert.
