Unst’s excellent collection of fishing boats lies behind the popular Victoria’s Vintage Tearoom on the coast in Haroldswick. The traditional vessels are mostly of the sixareen and fourareen types: wooden, low-hulled craft which fished for cod and ling up to 30 miles offshore in dangerous waters for days at a time, and each named after the number of crew.
