๐Ÿ“Œ Tangwick, Shetland Mainland
โ˜…โ˜…

Set close to a south-facing bay on Shetland Mainland’s wild Esha Ness peninsula, Tangwick Haa was built as a laird’s house in the 17th century for the Cheyne family. Since 1987 the building has been open to the public as a museum displaying Northmavine artefacts and history; one room also showcases a typical 19th century laird’s room, with the appropriate period furniture. Given the sparsely-populated region there’s a surprising amount to see: put it on your must-do list if you’re planning on heading out this way.
