📌 Tomintoul, Moray
★★

Overlooking the sinuous course of the River Avon near Tomintoul, the shiny “Still” art installation frames the low hill of Tom na Bat. The sculpture was created by Angus Ritchie and uses some of the material from the old quarry immediately below the viewpoint (where the car park is). It provides a worthwhile stop-off on the far northern portion of The Snow Roads driving route – though if you have more time, the nearby Victor Gaffney viewpoint reached by a walk from Tomintoul offers even better views up the River Avon towards the high Cairngorms.
