πŸ“Œ Lerwick, Shetland Mainland
β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

This superb, extensive museum in Lerwick covers all aspects of the Shetland Islands’ history and heritage, and should form an essential part of any visit to Scotland’s northernmost archipelago. The centre opened in 2007 and fishing, folklore, textiles, art, archaeological finds and geological exhibits are all on show; we’ve spent a full mornings and afternoons here while it poured with rain outside and there’s always been plenty to keep us occupied.
