πŸ“Œ Old Town, City of Edinburgh
β˜…β˜…

Since 2004 the Scottish Parliament has been housed in a striking (not all would say beautiful) building where Edinburgh‘s Royal Mile ends near the Palace of Holyroodhouse, overlooked by Salisbury Crags and Arthur’s Seat. Once you’ve gone through the rigmarole of airport-style security, you’re free to wander the public sections of the building as you please, including the upper areas of the debating chamber and a small exhibition about how the Parliament works. If you’re looking to explore more thoroughly, visit on a day when Parliament isn’t sitting and book onto a free tour.
