📌 Waterfall near Dunkeld, Perth & Kinross
★★★
Rumbling Bridge, Strathbraan boasts a series of fine rapids around an old stone bridge across the River Braan. Despite the site’s proximity to the busier Hermitage & Black Linn Falls – you can walk between the two using part of our River Braan route – its slightly more out-of-the-way location means it receives far fewer visitors. The water fairly thunders over the biggest waterfall underneath the bridge, but views are restricted by trees; several smaller falls and rapids just upstream give better photo opportunities.

💬 From the car park it’s a 5-min walk to the rapids. Follow a woodland path north downhill, soon rejoining the road. Turn right to reach the bridge over the River Braan. Rough, informal paths follow the south bank upstream from the bridge, allowing exploration of the series of rapids. ⚠️ Not to be confused with Rumbling Bridge gorge on the River Devon.
