πŸ“Œ Kershader, Isle of Lewis
β˜…β˜…

Kershader is the gateway to the Pairc district of Lewis: a collection of 11 townships scattered across a vast area of peat bogs and lochs south of Loch Reasort. The community centre is a real service hub, offering a small shop, post office, petrol station, cafe, visitor accommodation – and a small but worthwhile museum. Run by the Pairc Historical Society, there are plenty of photographs showing how daily life has changed (or changed little) over the decades, documenting subjects such as school attendance, road upgrades and notable local figures.
