Most visitors to Westray will be sure to seek out Noltland Castle, but Historic Environment Scotland also care for a second, less-visited property on this island. The simple 17th century ruin of Pierowall old church doesn’t look like much from the outside, but turns out to contain some ornately carved grave slabs housed in a glass case.
