๐Ÿ“Œ Kirkwall, Orkney Mainland
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

This excellent museum of Tardis-like proportions is one of Orkney’s best, and an important component in Kirkwall‘s excellent inventory of rainy-day attractions. Found in what used to be Tankerness House in the centre of the town, there is a wide variety of displays charting the story of Orkney from the stone age, via the Picts and Vikings, to the present day. The museum is council-owned and admission is free.
