๐Ÿ“Œ Gorge near Braemar, Aberdeenshire
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

At the Linn of Dee, one of Scotland’s mightiest rivers is abruptly reduced to a width of just a few feet as it squeezes through a 300 metre-long, foamy gorge. The churning waters have carved out beautiful shapes in the bedrock, and salmon gather in the deep pools while mustering the strength to leap the waterfall at the top end. The car park is also the trailhead for major expeditions into the high Cairngorms north and west from here, so there can be fierce competition for parking spaces on peak weekends.
