๐Ÿ“Œ Linlithgow, West Lothian

This former canal stable houses Scotland’s only canal museum, found on the south bank of the Union Canal as it winds through houses above Linlithgow town centre. Expect to see hundreds of photographs documenting the waterway’s infrastructure, scenic highlights, flora and fauna, as well as model boats and tools from the canal’s working heyday. The centre also offers various boat trips along the canal: a pootle through Linlithgow’s suburbs, further afield to the Avon Aqueduct (Scotland’s longest and tallest aqueduct), and a full day’s odyssey to the Falkirk Wheel.
