Inveravon Parish Church is found just above the River Spey floodplain a mile or so north of the A95 hairpin bend at Bridge of Avon. Look inside the porch on the north (road) side of the church, and you can admire three large Pictish stones (and one tiny one), bolted to the walls inside and dating from the 5th to 7th century. Carved symbols include an eagle and mirror case on the central stone, a crescent and V-rod, triple-disc and mirrow on the right-hand stone, and a dolphin or other beast on both of the other two stones. The church itself is usually also open to the public and dates to 1806; the separate mausoleum contains memorials to the MacPherson-Grant family of nearby Ballindalloch Castle.
