πŸ“Œ Camera Obscura in Lochmaddy, North Uist
β˜…β˜…

This quirky little art installation lies just across a rocky strait from the north side of Lochmaddy village. Inside a turf-roofed, stone-walled hut next to the shoreline is a camera obscura: a simple, pinhole camera designed to project the sea view onto the back wall of the hut. The easiest way of reaching the building is unusual too; access is by a rickety suspension bridge which may or may not be completely safe (check local signage) and stone causeways across the tidal channel. Highly recommended if you’re spending any time around Lochmaddy.
