📌 Callander, Stirling
★★

If there’s a world record for cramming the maximum number of small items into a cramped space, the Hamilton Toy Museum could probably have a go at breaking it. This mind-boggling collection of childhood toys has been accumulated by a single family over 175 years, and there’s likely to be something amongst the stacks of figurines, vehicles, dolls, animals and games which appeals to everybody. With thousands of items squashed into a smallish house on Callander Main Street, rooms are tiny; this is reflected by the small admission charge, but in fact the interior is a bit bigger than at first appears, with two floors and several rooms to explore.
