📌 Natural arch near Strathy, Highland
★★★
The yawning natural arch of Glupie Bhrael (we like the name too!) can be found a few hundred metres from the road end at Brawl, west of Strathy. Formed from the collapse of a sea cave, a cauldron of frothy water has been left behind with a good view underneath the arch to the open sea. The area’s wider coastline is also worth exploring – particularly in the eastern direction, with high cliffs, stacks and islands on view.

💬 From the road end it’s a 10-min pathless walk (each way) to Glupie Bhrael, northwest across grass, uphill on the way back (⬤ Moderate). Heading north to the coast then following the clifftop west is slightly longer, but more scenic.
