Drumadoon Bay is the finest beach on the southwest half of Arran’s 60+ mile coastline. Stretching west from Blackwaterfoot village, the sand runs out at Blackwaterfoot Point, backed by The Doon: a prominent mound with striking basalt cliffs. The sunny aspect makes it a wonderful spot from which to watch the sun set. The Green Goddess Wild Sauna has also set up here; we had good, type-2 fun alternating between the hot sauna and the freezing Atlantic Ocean on our 2025 visit.
