📌 Milnathort, Perth & Kinross
★★

This oddly shaped castle sits uncomfortably close to one of the roads out of Milnathort, Kinross-shire. Like many castles, 16th-century Burleigh was expanded and altered over the centuries, but here the result is unique, and the southwest tower is particularly appealing. There are rooms to explore on two floors inside.
