Buckie is a town very much devoted to its fishing industry, and not usually found on most tourist’s travel itineraries. However, pleasure boats operating out of the harbour offer decent wildlife, fishing & photography opportunities along this stretch of the Moray coastline, with reasonable chances of seeing the Moray Firth dolphins. Even if the marine life isn’t playing ball, there should be plenty of seabirds on the rocky shoreline and in the ocean – particularly during the spring and summer months. To the east of Buckie low cliffs also soon grow in stature, culminating in the spectacular Bow Fiddle Rock, not usually seen from this angle.
