This 7-stalled burial cairn would be an impressive sight if it weren’t marred by a rather ugly concrete roof (so ugly that we didn’t even take any photographs, sorry!). As such, we reckon there are other more worthwhile chambered tombs to visit on Rousay, although none that are so conveniently located next to the main road around the island. Just two skeletons were found during excavations here, though the cairn would likely once have been the resting place for many more people.
