๐Ÿ“Œ Linlithgow, West Lothian
โ˜…โ˜…

Set upon the northern slopes of the Bathgate Hills close to Linlithgow, Beecraigs is one of our favourites out of several country parks between Glasgow and Edinburgh. There’s lots to do over the 370 hectares: wander around Beecraigs Loch, visit the red deer, Highland Cows and many other animals in the Animal Attraction corner of the park… or lose yourself in the extensive woodland on the south and west sides. The bronze age fort and excellent viewpoint of Cockleroy – though just outside the boundary – is accessed from the west edge of the park (or from the visitor centre as a longer walk). There are also good paths all the way from Linlithgow – our circular route is just one option.
