๐Ÿ“Œ Beauly, Highland
โ˜…โ˜…

Beauly is a fairly attractive village a dozen miles west of Inverness, formerly situated on the main road north before the Kessock Bridge was built over the Beauly Firth. Right in the centre is Beauly Priory, worth visiting if you’re in the area; this ruined Benedictine monastery was founded in the early 13th century and easily pre-dates the village surrounding it. Admission is free and the site is open daily, but car drivers should avoid the area during the Belladrum music festival, which takes place for a few days each summer.
