The single-room Johnstone History Museum gives a brief introduction to this Central Belt town which built its fortune on textiles, tools and twine. We’re not sure how it ended up inside a Morrisons supermarket, but it’s quite a novel experience to be able to browse the old photographs and artefacts before popping across to aisle 12 to pick up your evening meal!
