πŸ“Œ Whiting Bay, Isle of Arran
β˜…β˜…β˜…

The channel between the Isle of Arran and Holy Island reaches its narrowest point close to Kingscross Point north of Whiting Bay, where only about 500 metres of water separates the two islands. The headland has great views and is adorned with a mostly grassy ancient fort; reach it by an attractive part of the Arran Coastal Way along coast, through woodland and alongside fields from Sandbraes. The return cuts back inland, with a good (but brief) outlook over Whiting Bay from the final descent.
