📌 Tolsta, Isle of Lewis
★★★

Also known in Gaelic as Tràigh Ghearadha, Garry Beach is made special by a quirky assortment of sea stacks between the high and low tide marks. One is large enough that a castle (Castle a’ Mhorair) was once located atop it, while nearby there’s a wave-cut passageway leading several metres through the headland of Gob Hais. The beach is also the furthest you can take a vehicle on Lewis’s east coast road; beyond here, there’s an unsurfaced track accessed by the curious Bridge to Nowhere.
