Unless you count tiny Port Stoth on the Butt of Lewis access road, this is the northernmost sandy beach in the Western Isles archipelago. A short wander downhill brings you to a 500 metre-long expanse of perfect sand, though lying fully exposed to the Atlantic Ocean.
