The area around Cannich is best known for its natural wonders – Glen Affric on one side, Loch Ness on the other. But this region also has an ancient, man made history. This 4,000 year-old, Bronze Age chambered cairn at the remote head of Glen Urquhart is surrounded by eleven standing stones. You can still crawl into the central chamber, thought to have been the resting place of a high profile female. The impressive Corrimony Falls are nearby.
